Open Positions : President Internal Vice-President External Vice-President Treasurer Secretary Interested individuals should apply by filling out the application form when it opens on Monday, May 4, 2020. Once the applicant has been interviewed and confirmed as a candidate, they may begin campaigning immediately afterward. Applications will close on Sunday, June 7 . About The 2020 UNAVSA Elections will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2020. Qualifications and Conditions of Candidacy Candidates may only apply as a candidate to one (1) Executive Board position . Candidates cannot exceed thirty (30) years of age in the year of election. Candidates must have served as a former or current member of UNAVSA Cabinet Staff and/or UNAVSA Conference Director for at least one (1) year Candidates have not violated UNAVSA’s policies concerning harassment and assault Candidates cannot be under investigation in a region or within UNAVSA for infractions Candidates cannot be currently on probation during the elections period due to quality of performance in specified roles as a UNAVSA a staff member Cannot hold any other Executive Board or Director position in another affiliated partnership or external organization at the same time should they win the elections unless: A candidate finishing up their term and is outgoing within three (3) months of starting UNAVSA’s Executive Board Term If the time period is longer, approval from Elections Committee must be given Elections Committee Official Duties Reviews candidate applications for eligibility Facilitate elections process Enforces limitations and prohibition on campaign and campaign finance rules Audits candidate campaigns for compliance 2020 UNAVSA Elections Committee Jenni Huynh Tina Li Nghia Le Lucy Tran Duy-Chi Nguyen Get in Touch.
